heav-yoga | Yoga to the Doom and atmospheric Metal tunes.

Watch and follow style sesh at a good pace that isn’t too scary.

Doom typically has a steady, low-frequency vibration kinda sound… generally low on lyrics, and while it’s definitely heavy it’s both calming and energising. Ya don’t have to be a metalhead to give this sesh a nod.

Inspired by the character; Furiosa, she was named for the rage and fury OF WOMEN. We’ve named our session to honour her, as it truly reflects AWF's attitudes concerning feminine anger and honest fury. 

We’ve all seen a bunch of female characters kill it, so female rage is not a new or drastic concept. What‘s upliftin’ is the concept of an action character that is entirely here for woman, even down to the origins of her name. This concept is also how AWF loves to carry thru on all their stuff.

Furiosa’s rage is for the protection of women, her anger is for the justice denied women, her given name acts as a reminder; fury is meant to give her power and strength. She was named by powerful - independent women; to remind her that her fury is not something to be sneezed at, mocked, or seen as a weakness, but it’s her strength. 

And this anger is not some yo-yo she’s chuckin' around in a fit, Furiosa’s anger is a shield, she defends and protects women, as she was taught to do by all the mentors in her life. 

To add more fury to this ‘inspire’ fire, we’ve introduced a yoga session by a leading Yogi that loves her doom metal. This truly reflects the sounds of the massive ‘war-rig’ Furiosa controls.

Master trainer April will take us on an action packed journey with her fierce Yoga sesh; Watch and follow styles - so even if you need time out – you can easily join back in when ya ready. Time to get your machine crankin', ya blood boiling, head nodding, and ya hear holes serviced;

  • Socks or bare feet
  • Bring/ wear extra layers particularly in the cooler weather... and anything you think is fierce.

We supply mats.
Each individual is also encouraged to work within their means; April can always offer alternative options!

    Ensure you arrive 5-10 mins prior to the start of your session.
