BACK TO IT
We all know it’s a hard slog to get motivated for exercise sometimes, especially if it's been a while.
Because we're here to help you grow, we thought we'd share our top five tips for getting back to it.
Book it in, like an appointment.
Sometimes it’s so hard to find time for things. If you look it in like an appointment in your diary for treating yourself, it’s easier to stick to it.
Set small goals and reward yourself.
There’s no point in burning yourself out by pushing too hard. You want to grow at your own pace, so set achievable goals and reward yourself when you accomplish them.
Curate a sweet playlist.
Our P!NK Boxing trainer Kiko recently talked on triple j about the importance of ripper exercise playlist. It’s easy - pick the songs you love and that get you pumped! If nothing else, exercise is a great opportunity to listen to tunes.
Recruit a pal.
When you’re doing something with a mate, you’re less likely to bail. Plus it’s a great excuse to hang out, have a chin wag and get active together. If you’re pals aren’t keen, don’t stress. You’ll soon enough make new ones just by being out and about.
Don’t overwhelm yourself.
We all grow stronger and fitter at different rates. Pace yourself, and do what feels good. You’re already making an improvement, just by trying.
